Recap of the President's Health care address

Although the Wilson was stupid for his remark, if you re-read Obama’s , I noted some interesting parts:

“When I spoke here last winter, this nation was facing the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.” – News flash Chief – see memo regarding double digit unemployment.

“So tonight, I return to speak to all of you about an issue that is central to that future — and that is the issue of health care.” – Seems to me biggest issue is the economy, stupid.

“We are the only advanced democracy on Earth — the only wealthy nation — that allows such hardships for millions of its people.” – Well we used to be a wealthy nation. Now our debt is beyond huge as Obama has been the biggest profligate American President in our history. Oprah has a better chance losing her weight gain then we have a chance with your plans.

“Finally, our health care system is placing an unsustainable burden on taxpayers.” – Funny, I thought the TARP bill did that already?

“And it's why those of us with health insurance are also paying a hidden and growing tax for those without it — about $1000 per year that pays for somebody else's emergency room and charitable care.” – What’s with this “those of us with health insurance are also paying a hidden and growing tax” crud? You got a mouse in your pocket? You and the Washington politicians are not paying jack squat for your health insurance.

“And out of this blizzard of charges and countercharges, confusion has reigned. “ – If this confusion has been so bad and going on for so long, then where the H___
have you been? You should have stepped out in front of this thing early instead of ceding the effort to Pelosi and Reid. Seems to me they’re the main reason for the confusion, but you haven’t had the leadership stones to do that.

“Since health care represents one-sixth of our economy, I believe it makes more sense to build on what works and fix what doesn't, rather than try to build an entirely new system from scratch. And that is precisely what those of you in Congress have tried to do over the past several months.” – Uh no. Congress have been trying to re-invent the healthcare wheel.

“Instead of honest debate, we have seen scare tactics.” – Pot and kettle.

“Such a charge would be laughable if it weren't so cynical and irresponsible. It is a lie, plain and simple.” – Did he just call someone a liar? Ok I want a Presidential apology on behalf of the country.

“There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false — the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally. “ – There’s nothing in the legislation to insure illegal immigrants would not be covered. The Repubs tried to offer specific language on this, but it was rejected. That’s ok – ACORN will take care of things.

“That's why under my plan, individuals will be required to carry basic health insurance — just as most states require you to carry auto insurance”. – Not the same type of issue. The government doesn’t force you to have a car. As I understand the Boehner amendment, a fine of $3400 would be assessed for anyone who chose not to have health care. Fine = tax.

“Now, I have no interest in putting insurance companies out of business.” – In a speech to the SEIU in 2005, he said the exact opposite.

“It's worth noting that a strong majority of Americans still favor a public insurance option of the sort I've proposed tonight.” – According to who? Maybe he meant a strong majority of Democratic Party Americans.

“The only thing this plan would eliminate is the hundreds of billions of dollars in waste and fraud, as well as unwarranted subsidies in Medicare that go to insurance companies — subsidies that do everything to pad their profits and nothing to improve your care.” – Well if he knows where the fraud is going on in Medicare, why isn’t he going to clean that up NOW?! Why wait for this bill to do this?

“You see, our predecessors understood that government could not, and should not, solve every problem.” – But the little voice in Obama’s head was saying “ Jefferson, Franklin and the rest of those guys were soooo stupid. Big government means good government.”

The Bush Doctrine as endorsed by Obama

Source: Yahoo The Associated Press 8/17/09

"He said U.S. troops are working to secure polling places so the elections can go forward and Afghans can choose their own future.
Attaining that peaceful future "will not be quick, nor easy," Obama said.
He said the United States still has a deep interest in the long-term outcome. "So this is not only a war worth fighting. ... This is fundamental to the defense of our people," he said.
He told the veterans that the U.S. didn't choose to fight in Afghanistan but was forced to invade that country to stop future Sept. 11-style attacks." (emphasis added)

So President Obama embraces the Bush Doctrine. Not surprising that he assumes this doctrine to be his and doesn't cite Bush as the originator of it.

Where are the main stream media press on this?

Pelosi is ruunning the country

President Obama talks a lot about “his health care plan”. Ok –well where is that plan? So far what we have is the House bill plus about five versions of a plan in the Senate. So where is Obama’s plan as manifested in a bill?

That’s right. It’s nowhere to be found.

Which brings me to my central point – Nancy Pelosi is running the country. Not President Obama, not Rahm Emanuel, not anyone in the White House.

Nancy Pelosi is the puppet-master and President Obama, the White House staff and Harry Reid are the puppets.

In some ways, it’s an effective strategy. It gives Obama a Teflon coating to his overall strategy. He can sit back, take credit for the part of the bills he likes and distance himself from those parts he doesn’t like. The defective aspect of the strategy is that he cedes control to Nancy Pelosi.

It’s the House bill that’s being debated now and that’s the bill being excoriated by much of the country. So while Pelosi doesn’t care if she’s liked or not, President Obama does care if he’s liked. But that is proving harder by the puppet on a string.

Dunce of the day = Arelene Spector

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0509/22768.html

Spector really is an idiot. If he was so sure the CIA didn't always tell the truth and he didn't say anything, then what does that say about his integrity? He's a real lowlife for claiming now that the CIA was supposedly less than truthful. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black,

The Unit gets cancelled

Looks like one of my favorite shows "The Unit" got cancelled. Why are I not surprised that CBS would cancel a series that shows our military in a favorable light and concentrates on domestic and international terrorism?

Obama and the Tea Bag crowd

In Missouri at his 100 day mark the President said:

"Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around, Obama said, “let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security.” “But,” Obama continued, “let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."

A few thoughts here:

1. I thought the White House was unconcerned about these Tea parties as he and his press machines attempted to marginalize them while they were going on. Now his feeling are hurt because not everyone loves him. What a wimp.

2. When is that "serious conversation" going to happen? Since he views the tea bag people with such condescending disstain, it's unlikely this conversation will ever happen.

3. To be such a highly edcuated person, he's really stupid if he believes people are not upset over the size of the Recovery Act. He's the one playing the games for trying to divert the focus from the central issue of the size of government.

4. Speaking of Social Security, exactly how is Obama going to solve that little issue? He's been silent on that topic.

Arlene Spector - See definition

hubris

Etymology: Greek hybris
Date: 1884
1. exaggerated pride or self-confidence
2. Arlene Spector

Yea- I know. I misspelled his name, but not his sentiment. He has defected to the dark side of the political spectrum. The Democrats are now the "Tee Ball Party". They want everyone to win, but not keep score. They just want to spread the wealth, open up our borders, be gadflies for the most stupid of causes (see Global Warming).

Spector is a coward. He switched teams because he sensed he was losing.

He is a loser.

Jon Stewart - Profiles in Cowardice

If you watch and listen to Jon Stewart's show very much, please note that the show is shown on the COMEDY CENTRAL network. That alone should demonstrate the cowardice of Mr. Stewart in that his forum for his fake news program is the centerpiece of a comedy program. I get the sense that Mr. Stewart is bulletproof from the main stream media criticism. Goodness knows that splicing together sound bites from people he disagrees with, then having his team of comedy writers write witty, snarkey comments is truly the foundation of meaningful discourse. The show is written for the 3rd grade level (on a good day) for an MTV generation of drones and zombies. Thankfully, not all of the MTV generation of drones fall for this fake news and analysis comedy show, so there may be hope after all.

You see, the cowardice of Mr. Stewart is that he stays secluded with the confines of the comedy show and looks down his elitist nose at people who disagree with him. He doesn't come down from his mountaintop because to do so would put him in the same non-teleprompter world as the rest of us. No comedy writers, no help from his yes people.

I will give Mr. Stewart credit in one area though. He has marketed himself much like Sham Wow.
He just soaks up the praise for his deep thoughts and never gets full.

General Motors new name

Now that the government has taken over GM ( yeah I know they said they weren't going to run GM, but . . .). Anyway, I have their new name:
.
OPR Motors ( Obama, Pelosi and Reid Motors).

Our next few posts will reveal the marketing plan for our new company.

Senator Dodd

Sen Dodd,

What were you thinking? First, you say that you didn't know who had changed the provisions in the bill to allow AIG to convey these bonuses. Now you say you did know, but only did it at the insistentance of the Obama administration and the Treasury.

Now all this news tells me a couple of things about your character:

1. You're a liar.

2. You have no principles.

Resign now and preserve what little dignity you may have left. Where is your honor, sir.

What is he thinking? President Obama

Quote from the House Democratic Caucus:

"I want to acknowledge the great Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, who has proven to be an extraordinary leader for the American people."

Mr. Predisent- Nancy Pelosi is an extrodinary leader like Air America is an extraordinary radio network. At least he didn't point out Barney Frank (Elmer Fudd) as a great leader. Nancy Pelosi is the greatest fraud and worst Speaker of the House in U.S. history. If Nancy Pelosi is the yardstick by which this President gauges great leaders, then this country is more trouble for the four years.

DOD - Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi

While answering a recent question about the speed of passing an economic recovery package, the California Democrat stated, "500 million Americans lose their jobs. I don't think we can go fast enough to stop that."

OK she misspoke. But to think that this imbecile is third in the line of succession for President should make every American afraid. Very afraid. Let;s hope during the next election, Speaker Pelosi becomes one of the 500 million to lose her job.

Dunce of the Day (DOD) - Speaker Pelosi

From ABC's This week yesterday:

STEPHANOPOULOS: Hundreds of millions of dollars to expand family planning services. How is that stimulus?
PELOSI: Well, the family planning services reduce cost. They reduce cost. The states are in terrible fiscal budget crises now and part of what we do for children's health, education and some of those elements are to help the states meet their financial needs. One of those - one of the initiatives you mentioned, the contraception, will reduce costs to the states and to the federal government.
STEPHANOPOULOS: So no apologies for that?
PELOSI: No apologies. No. we have to deal with the consequences of the downturn in our economy.

OK - So it's ok to use contraception for an economic containment purpose? What's next? Why not just go ahead execute everyone on death row now? After all, look at all the money we can save. Of course I'm being facitious to a make a piont. The sheer audicity of power has corrupted our elected leaders like Rep. Pelosi. She's not only a dunce- she's a nut job.

Dunce of the Day (DOD) - VP Joe Biden

As reported by Fox News today,

Biden was to swear in senior executive staff at a White House ceremony after having already given the oath to newly confirmed Cabinet secretaries. When Obama reminded him that he had only done the one group and hadn't done the second yet, Biden quipped, "My memory is not as good as Chief Justice Roberts."

Well, isn't that nice? How Vice Presidential? I have a strong suspicion that Mr. Biden will be a several time winner of the DOD. President Obama - Just a word of suggestion sir. Find this guy a job, perhaps something having to do at Area 51.

Dunces of the Day - Donna Brazile & Rev Joseph Lowery

From her CNN commentary 1-20-09:

"Obama's election revealed the possibility of three new truths for African-Americans: White America may not be as racist as African-Americans thought they were; a solution to our country's lingering racial problem may eventually be found; and the Rev. Martin Luther King's dream that one day all people will be judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin is alive and within reach."

Now cut to Rev. Lowery who closed his "benediction" with the following:

"Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get back, when brown can stick around when yellow will be mellow -- when the red man can get ahead, man -- and when white will embrace what is right".

Now one of these people (Brazile) is a hypocrite, who fails to challenge Rev. Lowery on his statement and the other (Lowery) is just a plain hypocrite who made a bigoted statement. But yet both of these people hold themselves up to be among the enlightened but really they are so caught up in their own prejudices they can't seem to see their prejudice.

Wecome to the DOD list folks! You've earned it.

DOD - January 19, 2009 - Nancy Pelosi

From her interview on Fox News Sunday:

"We cannot let the politicizing of, for example, the Justice Department to go unreviewed," she added. "I want to see the truth come forth."

That's a Dunce statement. If she was so interested in the truth, why has she not persued the truth regarding the the incomptence of Barney Frank (aka Elmer Fudd) ? She is a total hypocrite. California derserves her and all her great wisdom. No wonder that state is screwed up.
